Access Statement
Introduction
* We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home-based two-bedroom bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.
Pre-Arrival
* There is a local bus service for the town and other areas.
* There is no railway – nearest station Exeter and then bus connection to Bude.
* There are local taxi services that have accessible taxis if required; we can make bookings for you.
* You can contact us via telephone, text or by email through our website (details below).
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
* We live on a quiet residential road only a few minutes walk for the town, beaches and all amenities.
* Directions on how to find Little Haven can be found on our website.
* On arrival to the property there is a large paved parking area to the front of the house with ample parking for everyone.
* The surface is level flat paved brick.
* We can assist with guests luggage
Main Entrance & Reception
* The front door 81cms leads into the porch to a secondary door 81cm into the house.
*On entry into our home there is a porch 2.38 by 1.26 metres with a seat and a shoe rack to leave dirty boots etc.
* The floor has ceramic tiles.
Public Areas – General (Internal)
* On entry there is an open plan hall, stairs leading to the two en-suite bedrooms.
* The house has wool short piled carpet throughout except in the two bathrooms which have cushion floor vinyl.
* Our hall is 1.83 metres by 4 meters with the staircase leading off to the two en suite bedrooms.
* The breakfast room is on the ground floor.
* The stairs – there are five stairs turning to the right then eight stairs to the first floor landing.
* The stairs are 20cm high, 25cm deep, 72 wide.
* Bedrooms are en suite but no public WC available.
Dining Room
* Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor. There are no steps.
* Dining table is oblong chairs can be moved. The table has under space of 60cm and the height of the table 76cm
# The chairs are open sided leather height to top of seat 47cm.
* We do not play background music and there is no T.V. in the dining room.
Laundry
* Not available – launderette in the town.

Double Bedroom
* Door with 74cm wide
* Stool and dressing table
* There is approximately 1.10 metres length and 80cm space to the bed and 1 metre on the other side, at the space at the end of the bed to the wall 80cm, and from the wardrobe to the door 1.5 metres.
* Double bed is 46cm to the mattress.
Double en suite
* Door width 59cm wide opening inwards.
* Shower cubicle edge/step is 26cm high.
* Free floor space 180cm x 160cm.
* Basin rounded at the front and is on a vanity unit 89cm high.
* Toilet is 40cm high.
* Good colour contrast tiles, vinyl floor and fittings.
Twin Room
* Door 74cm wide.
* Twin beds 62cm high to top of mattress.
* Floor space.
* One easy chair with no arms.
En suite Twin Room
* Door 66cm wide.
* Shower cubicle edge/step is 26cm high
* Floor space 1 metre by 1.2 metres
* Toilet 40cm high
* Good colour contrast, cushion vinyl floor and fittings.
* Basin is rounded at the front and is on a vanity unit 89cm high.
Grounds and Garden
* We have a paved area at the front of the house and a small back garden with lawn and patio for guests to sit.
Additional Information
* Fire Instructions information in room; please notify us on arrival if you need assistance on evacuating safely e.g. hearing impairment.
* We are a non smoking building (smoking is allowed in the small garden or at the paved area at the front of the house – ashtray provided).
* Bikes etc. can be locked in the garage.
* Mobile phone reception is generally good.
* We have a fridge downstairs which you may use for medication etc.
